In Acts 8, there is an encounter between Philip and an Ethiopian. On Philip’s side, the encounter was directed by God. On the Ethiopian’s side of the encounter, it seemed to be a chance meeting. But Philip was ready to share the Gospel with the Ethiopian. The Ethiopian became a follower of Jesus, and he took Christian faith home to the nation of Ethiopia. There are Christians and churches in that nation today that can be traced back to this encounter.
